Altroz iCNG – Tata Motors new premium cng hatchback is available officially for bookings with a token amount of Rs 21,000.
At recent Auto Expo 2023, Altroz iCNG was displayed and the main attraction Altroz iCNG was it’s dual Cylinder CNG technology setup. Tata cleverly replaced a single large CNG cylinder with two smaller cylinders of 30 liters each. They are placed below the luggage area, ensuring a large usable boot space.
Altroz iCNG can be started in CNG mode directly and comes equipped with a single ECU to ensure a seamless shift between petrol and CNG modes and vice versa.
Altroz iCNG is powered by the same 1.2-litre, three cylinder engine that puts out 86hp and 113Nm of torque in petrol mode.In iCNG the power drops to 77hp and 97Nm and expected to be offered with a 5-speed manual geabox. Altroz iCNG is extected to return a fuel economy of 26.49km/kg similar Tiago and Tigor CNGs.
Features
The Altroz iCNG comes with safety features like thermal incident protection, gas leak detection and a micro switch to ensure the car is switched off at the time of refueling.
The Altroz CNG also gets safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and stability control.
Variants
The Altroz iCNG will be available in four variants: XE, XM+, XZ and XZ+. It will come equipped with leatherette seats, cruise control, automatic headlamps and other features. The car also gets Tata’s iRA-connected car technology.
Top-spec trim gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen, digital driver’s display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a voice-activated sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels, an engine start/stop button, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver’s seat, leatherette seats, rear AC vents and a front center armrest.
Price
Altroz iCNG is expected to cost approximately Rs 90,000 more than its petrol variant. Tata Motors is offering a standard warranty of 3 years / 1,00,000 km on the Altroz iCNG.
