Barack Obama Wins Emmy Award For Narrating Netflix Documentary
Obama won the best narrator Emmy for his outstanding work on the Netflix documentary series, “Our Great National Parks.”
Obama is the second US president to win an Emmy.
The five-part show, which features national parks from around the globe
It was produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company, “Higher Ground.”
Obama is now halfway to becoming an EGOT winner, someone who has received Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards
EGOT refers to a special category of entertainers who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. Till date, only 17 people have accomplished it.
Obama previously won Grammy Awards for his audiobook reading of two of his memoirs, “The Audacity of Hope” and “Dreams From My Father.”
Michelle Obama won her own Grammy for reading her audiobook in 2020.
