Movie Tickets To Cost Just $3 Across US To Celebrate National Cinema Day

National Cinema Day will take place this Saturday, Sept. 3, at more than 3,000 theaters across the U.S.

The Cinema Foundation, a nonprofit organization came up with National Cinema Day as a way to encourage people to return to the theaters.

The $3 ticket price (not including tax) applies across all tickets, formats and showtimes

More than 3,000 theaters with more than 30,000 screens are participating, including AMC, Regal and nonfranchise theaters.

AMC tweeted it also will offer a $5 drink-popcorn combo

U.K. cinemas have also set their own National Cinema Day event, which will also take place on Sept. 3
