Native Americans Activist Sacheen Littlefeather Passes Away at 75
In 2018, Littlefeather revealed she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer.

Littlefeather became the first Native American woman to speak on stage at the Oscars.
Sacheen worked in the 1970s in movies The Trial of the Billy Jack (1974), Winterhawk (1975) and Shoot the Sun Down (1978).
In June, the Academy apologised to Littlefeather for her treatment at the Oscars ceremony
She attended an in-person presentation of the apology at the Academy Museum on September 17
A documentary about her life and activism, titled Sacheen Breaking the Silence, was released in 2021.
